Summary
TN Gold Rate shows daily gold rates for Tamil Nadu and offers jewellery price calculators. The app does not ask you to create an account and does not ask for your name, phone number, email, contacts, photos or location. The app shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects some device information as described below.
Information the app stores on your phone
- Your acceptance of the disclaimer (a version number), so the app does not ask you again every time. This stays on your phone and is removed if you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Numbers you type into the calculators (weight, rate, amount paid and so on) are used only on your phone to show the result. They are not saved or sent anywhere.
Information sent over the internet
- Gold rates: to show rates, the app requests them from our rate server. Like any web server, it may briefly record technical details of each request, such as your IP address and the time of the request, to keep the service running. We do not use this to identify you.
- Ads (Google AdMob): the app shows banner ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Depending on your region and choices, ads may be personalised. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
- Where the law requires it (for example in the EEA and the UK), the app asks for your consent before ads are personalised, using Google's consent form.
Your choices
- You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation in your phone's settings (Settings › Privacy › Ads, or Settings › Google › Ads, depending on your phone).
- You can stop all collection by the app by uninstalling it.
Sharing
We do not sell your information. Apart from what Google AdMob collects as described above, we do not share information with anyone.
Children
The app is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
About the rates
Rates in the app are based on publicly published and news-reported daily rates and are for information only. Please confirm prices with your jeweller before buying. We are not responsible for any loss arising from use of this information.
